133 (Eagle) Squadron was the third of three RAF Eagle Squadrons formed during World War II to be manned by volunteer pilots primarily from America and Canada.

133 Squadron traces its lineage back to a 133 Squadron that was formed during World War I, and existed briefly from March, 1918 to July, 1918 but never became operational[1].

  • August 1, 1941 133 (Eagle) Squadron is formed at Coltishall[1]
  • September 29, 1942 The RAF's 133 (Eagle) Squadron is transferred to the US Army Air Force and is redesignated the 336th Fighter Squadron[1].
