Bolling Mission
The Bolling Mission was a fact-finding mission led by US Army Signal Corps Major Raynal C. Bolling to examine conditions on the Western Front, study the allied airplane designs that were available, and recommend which aircraft types the US should produce. Along with Bolling, the mission included two aeronautical engineers from the Army, two from the Navy, and seven civilian experts[1].
