Gatchina Military Aviation School
In 1911 the Petersburg Officer's Aeronautic School created a section for training military pilots, which in 1914 was reorganized as the Gatchina Military Aviation School. On April 1, 1918 the school was renamed to the Socialist Aviation School[1].
During the Russian Civil War the school was one of the main sources of training for military aviators. In the summer of 1918 it was evacuated to Egorevsk and renamed to the Egorevsk Aviation School[1].
