Kiev Aeronautical Society


The Kiev Aeronautical Society (Киевское Общество Воздухоплавания (КОВ)) was founded on October 29, 1909 by a professor at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. The club trained pilots and mechanics at the Kurenevsk airfield. In 1916 the club ceased operations[1].
