Designation: LaGG-3 Also Known As: I-301 (prototype), LaGG-1 (early production) Manufacturer: Lavochkin-Gorbunov-Goudkov Nationality: Soviet First Flight: March 30, 1939 Remarks: One of the Soviet Air Force's most modern fighters at the start of World War II, and a close rival to the German Bf 109F.
