Name: Lanchester, Frederick William Years: 1868-1946 Nationality: British Remarks: English engineer who authored the 1916 work Aircraft in Warfare, which was one of the earliest attempts at scientific modeling and study of aerial warfare, introduced the "N2 Law", and was a pioneering work in the field that would later be known as Operations Research.
