Operation Frantic

Remarks: A series of bombing raids flown by American bombers from bases in the UK or the Mediterranean against targets in Germany, continuing on to land in the Soviet Union. The "shuttle bombing" was intended to complicate the air defense of key targets in Germany.

• June 2, 1944 American bombers based in southern Italy attack Debrecen and then continue on to land in the Soviet Union, as part of the first "shuttle bombing" mission in Operation Frantic^[1].
