During the Russian Civil War, a total of 219 pilots and observers in the Soviet air forces were awarded the Order of the Red Banner, the highest award available at the time. Nineteen of them received the award twice, and six received it three times: Ivan Pavlov, Pyotr Mezheraup, Sokrat Monastiryov, Georgii (Yuri) Arvatov, Yakov Moiseev, and observer Evgenii Ukhin^[1].
