Amongst other documents, the book contains the following:
- Guidelines for Training the Troops about Aircraft and Means of Resisting Aircraft, published in March, 1913, making it the first officially published aviation doctrine of the German army. Early German military aviators Maj. Hermann von der Lieth-Thomsen and Maj. Wilhelm Siegert were likely involved in authoring the document.
