[edit] Biography

Rozengolts served on several different Revolutionary Military Councils during the Russian Civil War. He served in a variety of other Pary roles unrelated to aviation before becoming chief of the Main Directorate for Red Army Air Forces in March, 1923. He served in that position until December, 1924. He later served as a diplomat to Great Britain, and in other Party roles. He was arrested on October 7, 1937, convicted on March 13, 1938, and executed on March 15, 1938[1][2].
