Ryzhenkov joined the communist party in 1917^[1].

Ryzhenkov was promoted to the rank of Brigade Commander (Kombrig) on November 28, 1935^[2].

Ryzhenkov served as commander of the 50th Aviation Brigade^[1]. He is mentioned as brigade commander in Georgii Zimin's memoirs "Fighters"^[3].

Ryzhenkov was arrested on February 20, 1938, and executed on September 10, 1938^[1].
