After the war, Skomorokhov completed the Frunze Military Academy (in 1949) and the General Staff Academy (in 1958), served as commander of the Gagarin Military Air Academy (in 1973) and as a Deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and attained the rank of Marshal of Aviation^[1]^[2].
